THINGS TO DO LOCALLY
Dunmore East has various activities on offer, some of which we have listed here.
There is the Golf Club which offers stunning views of the coastline.
The Adventure centre, which offers land & water based activities for the begginer and above.
We have the all weather Tennis courts in the park, popular walks and of cousre the Beaches,
Angling is also available by boat.
There are various restuarants & bars to cater for all tastes. Why not wander into Powers Bar on a Tuesday evening when the local musicians play traditional music for one & all.
LOCAL EVENTS
Every year Dunmore East plays host to the Golf Classics. The Waterford Crystal G.C. in Late April early May for teams of 4 & The Autunm Leaves G.C. during September for 2 person teams.
One of the Village famous events takes place in late August, this is the Blue Grass Festival where bands & fans come from all over the world to play and enjoy the 3 day event from Friday to Sunday. See the local website for more details: www.waterford-dunmore.com
THINGS TO DO AROUND THE AREA
In Waterford City you can visit the world famous Waterford Crystal Visitors Centre. See www.waterfordvisitorcentre.com , the Waterford Treasures Museum. See www.waterford treasures.com & The walking tours of Historic Waterford, a 1hr tour of the City with Jack Burtchaell.
For the golf lovers there are 4 other good courses locally. see www.faithlegg.com , www.waterfordcastle.com , www.tramoregolfclub.com & Waterford G. C. on 051-853405. There are many more good courses within 1hr or so.
For those who enjoy the countryside why not take a run down to the Comeragh Mountains & Mahon Falls for lovely walks & great views.
If you venture over to Wexford you can take in the Hook Peninsula & Light House, Dunbrody Abbey, Dunbrody Emigrant Ship, The Irish Heritage Park & the J F K Memorial Park to name but a few. This is only a small selection of things to do around the South East there are many more which you will find on your travels.
